Chemical
Peel is a procedure commonly used to minimize the
appearance of fine lines, (especially around the mouth and
eyes), caused by years of sun damage or natural aging. As
the name implies, a chemical solution is applied to the
facial wrinkles, which peels away the top layer of skin,
leaving a softer, smoother and more supple appearance.

The
procedure can take from 30 minutes to two hours to
complete depending on the extent of the area to be
treated. |

Some
patients may experience discomfort such as swelling,
throbbing, redness, etc., and, although rare, allergic
reactions may occur. Any pain can be controlled with
medication. |

Be
careful to avoid the sun, and remember, always wear a sun
block when outdoors for your own protection. |
